Wheelyboat
The Wheelyboat Trust is a registered charity dedicated to providing disabled people with the opportunity and freedom to enjoy waters large and small all over the UK. Their role is to help and encourage venues open to the public to acquire Wheelyboats for their disabled visitors and to help groups and organisations acquire Wheelyboats for their own use.
The Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries Rivers Trust are pleased to have acquired a wheelyboat in 2009 and it is located on Loch Shin under the management of Lairg Angling Association.
It is a highly robust, seaworthy and safe front loading wheelyboat complete with a ramp, tie-down eyes for wheelchairs, safety side rails and all normal safety kit including lifejackets.
During the loch angling season it is available for hire by contacting Dennis Cahill, Secretary of Lairg Angling Club on 01349 853112 or email
Our thanks and appreciation are due to Caithness & Sutherland Enterprise for their assistance in enabling us to fund this worthwhile project.
